1. What is the Golden Order of the Almighty (Ordo Aurum)?
Ordo Aurum is a society dedicated to the acquisition of the wisdom and knowledge of Divinity. We are miners, and the ore we extract is as a treasure hidden in a field. All of us are equals, though there are twelve degrees that represent the digging of the deep.
2. Are you occultic/gnostic, etc, etc?
No. See our Statement of Faith. Symbols are universal and are able to speak volumes. Symbols are meant to provide meaning specifically for those who understand them. Those who would say, "But don't you know that 12 means such and such?" or "Don't you know the blah blah cult uses triangles?" Fools. Most every number and every shape of any number of sides has meanings in any number of cultures. What they do with them is their business. If we say 12 represents the apostles, or the tribes of Israel, that is what it means. If we say a triangle represents the Trinity, being 3 sides and 1 shape, that is what it is to us. Do not put words in our mouth. It is tantamount to saying "I heard your leader likes bananas. I saw an internet video that told me Hitler liked bananas too. A-HA!" If that is your mind, go make a YouTube video about us. May God have mercy on you for slandering faithful brethren.
3. What are you hiding?
What is hidden is so only that it may be revealed. A parable exists only for its explanation, a prophecy for its fulfillment, the veil that it may be rent. All that is dark remains only that light may be cast upon it, and all that is secret stands only that it may be proclaimed. “For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad” (Mark 4:22). Therefore, we “will open the mouth in a parable: and will utter dark sayings of old” (Psalm 78:2) so that the reader may “understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings” (Pro. 1:6).
What prophet spoke in plain language? Did not even the Christ speak in parables? Did not even Paul write in a manner difficult for the unlearned to understand? (2 Pet. 3:16?) Did not the Spirit through John say, “Let him who hath understanding ...” (Rev. 3:18)?
What we speak is devoted to the glory of “him that is of power to establish you according to the gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith” (Rom. 16:25-26).
People naturally desire what is hidden. It makes them curious, they want it, they seek it. Therefore, we obscure what is common, so that others may find it precious.
4. Who should join?
We are open to all who would. However, it is also true that the Golden Ones tend to be of a certain sort.
Consider: If some newly discovered African tribe received the word of a preacher, they might worship God according to their custom, with song and dance of their own culture. It might be strange to expect them to adopt the ways of western Christianity, singing soulful ballads with an acoustic guitar or with the poppy tone of contemporary worship. So it is with us. Many of us have been called out from a certain culture which would be attracted to, and relate to, the particular motifs of the Order. Many of us may feel misplaced or misunderstood in certain other circles. Therefore, like Paul, we exist as a place for anyone who would (1 Cor. 9:22).
In short, though we tend to be of a certain sort, any who would seek to know God in a deeper way might join us.
5. Who are the people on the Lineage of Grandmasters?
The Grandmasters are people from the past who have exemplified certain characteristics that are rare, admirable and godly. These people were not perfect, yea, some were tragically flawed, and yet they may have been used of God for some special purpose. The Order recognizes them as our heritage.
6. What is the Lore of the Order?
History exists in the eye of the beholder, and most of it was not beheld by any who has recorded it. The Lore of the Order serves as the theater of time and a grand parable that gives continuity and lessons in light of what might have been. While not always literal, it weaves what is known with what is not known that we might learn from the past.
7. Does the Order have any themes throughout its content?
Yes. Important themes include the historicity of the Bible, the pursuit of divine wisdom, the fulfillment of messianic prophecy, and the battle and defeat of antichrist.
